ART IN CALVARIO SQUARE | Music and Passion

The cultural promotion video presents the potential of a unique site: Piazza Calvario. This space, traditionally used for the performance of the "Scinnenza" during Holy Week, is bordered laterally by two rows of chapels housing eighteen ceramic panels (each approximately 2 x 2 meters), created following a national competition open to the best ceramic schools and workshops in Italy.

The result is an open-air museum—unique in Italy—that brings together eighteen different styles of Italian ceramic art. The images are accompanied by the traditional San Cataldese song "'U Chiantu di Maria", set to an ancient musical text and adapted for cello by Maestro Eliana Miraglia.

The Pro Loco of San Cataldo invites you to discover the ceramics of Piazza Calvario. For more information, visit prolocosancataldo.it or call 389 2632947 / 328 7944847.
