THE BIRTH

MAREA was born from a project, a dream, a madness, a vision of Andrea Maira's future, the idea of ​​a young man who, after years of working as an employee in the restaurant world, felt the need to create something of his own with the aim of creating a unique venue, one that could stand out from the others in the San Cataldo (CL) area.

THE PASSION 

Andrea's initial training began by observing his colleagues, who taught him the basics of the bar world, sparking a passion for spirits. 

THE CURIOSITY 

Subsequently, a desire to learn everything about mixology, spirits, and liqueurs developed. Meanwhile, frequenting many Italian cocktail bars, he began to taste and discover high-quality spirits and wines, which inspired him to challenge himself and showcase his creativity in a project all his own, dedicated precisely to his bizarre background.

THE PLACE 

The venue evokes a modern spirit, synonymous with lightness, simplicity, and functionality. 

MAREA is a pleasant, intimate, inviting place and is also a meeting place, a true point of reference for San Cataldo.

And so MAREA was born, a name that came from mixing her surname and name, precisely MAira andREA.

Today, MAREA boasts a bottle selection of 200 liqueurs and spirits, including Platinum Gin, Tequila and  Mezcal, Vodka, Rum, and Whiskey, ensuring a unique and exciting tasting experience.

MAREA loves discovering and inventing cocktails that can tell something to those who taste them, with the detailed study of each single ingredient, thus giving life to a true sensory journey. 

MAREA is the place where “the Cocktail” finds its essence, bringing with it a single philosophy: the important thing is to Drink Well. 

MAREA is a venue born with the intention of creating a space in which to combine quality and fun, feeling at home.

The restaurant is best known for its aperitivo, with a menu that includes dishes you can share: Roman pinsa, tartare, fried dishes, platters, and much more.
