Following the suppression of the order in 1866, the building became municipal property.
The most valuable element of the single nave is the majestic wooden altarpiece of the main altar. Crafted from various woods (fir, boxwood, walnut, and cypress), the structure houses:
Relics and sculptures: 156 relics and 19 statuettes.
Iconography: The statue of the Immaculate Conception, the figures of the four Evangelists and, at the base, the Theological Virtues (Faith, Hope and Charity).
Precious details: The Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, and a refined Supper at Emmaus on the tabernacle door.
Along the nave there are four altars which house:
The statue of the Madonna Assunta (1957).
The sculptural group of the Crucifix with Our Lady of Sorrows and Saint John .
A canvas of the Madonna and Child surrounded by Saints Michael, Joseph, Francis, Clare and Cataldo.
